Welcome to Handing Over the Mic, a podcast series where influential voices from the Global South share their perspectives on Europe—its past, present and future.
In this episode of Handing Over the Mic, we speak with Louma Salame, director of the Brussels-based Boghossian Foundation since 2016. Her career includes leadership of the Louvre Abu Dhabi (as part of the Paris team), Mathaf in Doha, and the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris. We discuss what she has learnt from working across such different cultural and political contexts.
At the Boghossian Foundation, Louma has fostered artistic dialogue between Lebanese, Armenian and Belgian creators. We talk about the impact she believes these cultural exchanges can have at a cultural, artistic and even diplomatic level.
