Looking back, looking forward: A conversation with Josep Borrell

In what will be his last public appearance in the role before bowing out, Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, joins Luuk van Middelaar, Director of the Brussels Institute for Geopolitics, to reflect on five years as the EU's leading diplomat. Did Europe learn to speak the "language of power” (as he himself called for in 2019) and how can we interpret recent events? Josep Borrell and Luuk van Middelaar will also look ahead to the urgent geopolitical challenges facing Europe.

The conversation, followed by a reception, will take place on Thursday 28 November from 3:30pm at our premises (Hôtel Van Eetvelde, Avenue Palmerston 4, 1000 Brussels).
