Your Role
As a Finance and Project Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring financial and legal accuracy within our organization. Working closely with our director, our accountant and team members on their projects, as well as independently, you will be responsible for financial documentation, contract management and compliance oversight.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Financial coordination: prepare financial documents for the accountant and serve as the main liaison for accounting matters.
- Budget management: assist with budget preparation and financial planning.
- Banking and payments: execute day-to-day financial transactions.
- Contract oversight: manage and review project contracts with third parties, ensuring legal compliance and accuracy.
- Auditing and compliance: ensure regulatory compliance and serve as a contact point for external auditors.
- Governance Matters: prepare official documents for the Board and General Assembly, including minutes and governance assistance.
Who you are
Early career professional with a background in accountancy, finance or law, with 2 to 4 years of work experience. Highly detail-oriented and precise in reviewing financial and legal documents.
- Organized and punctual, with a strong ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Comfortable with financial reporting, contract analysis and legal compliance.
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in finance, accountancy, project management, or a related field.
- Able to exhibit excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English; French or Dutch would be considered an asset.
- A critical thinker who values clarity and quality in decision-making.
